Contrary to what you may believe, being fired is not a binary thing. It exists on a delightfully nuanced gradient, ranging from “please clean out your desk” to “stop fighting us┬áso we can shove you out this airlock.”

Y’know, I wonder when Oliver puts his coat on in the morning. You’d think I’d know, being one of his creators. It’s clearly after breakfast some time. That much is cannon. Though, I suppose he just sheds it any time he’s cooking. Which leads me to believe that it must be that he wakes up, dons his coat, carefully removes it while he cooks breakfast, eats, then puts it back on.

Which sounds like a lot of hassle, but consider how much it would suck if something heroic or adventurous happened, and you didn’t have your cool coat on for it? Never live it down, really.
